WHAT IS TYPE B GASFITTING?

Per AS/NZS 5601.1, AS 3814, AS 1375 gas installation standards, type B gas appliances and devices have more than 10 MJ/hour gas consumption, and do not have a certification scheme.

You will commonly find these at industrial and commercial sites. Shopping centres often have back-up generators powered by gas. Type B gas devices and appliances can be simple (S1, S2, S3, S4) and complex (C1, C2, C3). The installation of these devices must follow the mentioned AS/NZS 5601.1 standards and relevant safety requirements.

733 CERTIFICATE OF DESIGN
